About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Ess Ltd. as a key member of our maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electro-mechanical repairs to a PLC-controlled plant, handling and conveying equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Maintain the plant facilities and services, including compressed air systems.
  • Contribute to and carry out Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Routines.
  • Support the operations team in achieving targets and objectives.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Exercise initiative and judgment in responding to faults and taking corrective action.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, including transit areas and the workshop.
  • Participate in training and development programs, including cross-skilling and job-related competencies.
  • Input maintenance records into the CMMS, including work carried out, changes, and stores transactions.
Person Specification
  • Trades qualification in Electrical with good Mechanical knowledge.
  • Multi-skilled or cross-skilled ethos.
  • Aptitude for process awareness, diagnostic, and trouble-shooting experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to use initiative.
  • Computer skills an advantage.
