Software Engineer | Space | £50,000-£65,000 | Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Peaple Talent. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and deploying advanced Satellite systems, Earth Observation Platforms, and Space-based Applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy software solutions for Monitoring systems, Earth Observation Management systems, Mission Systems, or ground control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code, ensuring it meets the required standards and specifications.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of software systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the field of Space Technology.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of software development experience.
  • Development experience with Java or Python, with exposure to the other.
  • Experience with Linux or Windows development.
  • Devops experience, e.g. CI/CD, Containerisation, Serverless computing (desirable)
  • Experience with Geospatial technologies, GIS etc.
