We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Planning Lead to become a vital part of our team.
In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Assistant General Manager of the site. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the growth of Wincanton's operations by empowering team members to collaborate effectively and engage meaningfully. This position offers a unique chance to be part of a management team that values culture, performance, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Formulate an optimized operational strategy that accommodates diverse customer needs Deliver a comprehensive operational framework Oversee inbound and outbound forecasting and scheduling, ensuring the Operations team has clear visibility of weekly activities Act as a key decision-maker regarding volume profiles, daily operational plans, and resource allocation Generate a comprehensive suite of KPIs on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to monitor performance Develop a tool to maintain appropriate stock levels of consumables for both domestic and international customer demands Collaborate with the Stock & Admin Manager and Operations Managers to address demand exceeding capacity and manage customer expectations Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including Quality and Health & Safety standards to maintain compliance with legal obligations Uphold Health and Safety standards for yourself and your team by following safe working practicesQualifications and Skills
Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft applications, with exceptional IT and analytical capabilities to enhance performance Proven track record of implementing innovative performance enhancements and achieving operational excellence Extensive experience in logistics or relevant industrial sectors, with a strong understanding of complex supply chain dynamics Ability to respond swiftly to customer demands by providing effective project solutions in a fast-paced environment Agile mindset with demonstrated experience in adapting operational strategies to meet evolving customer requirements Successfully manage change initiatives while continuously evaluating how modifications can benefit the organization Competence in value stream mapping and root cause analysis to identify issues and implement preventative measures for performance improvementDesired Behaviors
