Head of Media Studies

We are seeking an experienced and innovative educator to lead our Media Studies department. As Head of Media Studies, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for success in the ever-evolving media landscape.

You will work closely with colleagues to design and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and provide guidance and support to students.

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive Media Studies curriculum that aligns with national standards and guidelines.
2. Lead and manage the Media Studies department, including staff development and performance management.
3. Design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
4. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve student outcomes.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote media literacy and digital citizenship.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A strong background in Media Studies, with a proven track record of teaching and leading in this subject area.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
