Convergence Group is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our strategic partnerships, driving growth and innovation in the telecoms and tech sectors. As our Head of Strategic Partnerships, you will be responsible for managing critical vendor relationships, developing and executing strategic plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Vendor Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with key vendors, including BT Wholesale, Openreach, and Virgin Media, to ensure seamless communication and mutually beneficial outcomes.
  2. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth, innovation, and value optimization across our vendor ecosystem.
  3. Value Optimization: Extract maximum value from our critical systems and infrastructure suppliers, ensuring efficiency and holding suppliers to the highest standards.
  4. Innovation and Integration: Identify new vendor opportunities, gain leadership buy-in, and seamlessly integrate changes across departments.
  5. Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with teammates to enhance commercial efficiency, drive continuous improvement, and optimize procurement channels for maximum impact.
Your KPIs:
  1. Supplier Excellence: Maintain and improve supplier performance while driving efficiency through financial incentives.
  2. Cost Management: Slash third-party overhead costs like a pro.
  3. Risk Mitigation: Ensure supplier SLA adherence stays above 95%, stepping in as the ultimate trouble-shooter when needed.
  4. Insight and Reporting: Engage with tier-one suppliers weekly and deliver monthly commercial insights to senior leadership.
What You'll Bring:
  1. Significant experience in similar roles managing vendor relationships, ideally within the telecoms/tech sectors.
  2. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced SME environment.
  3. Experience of managing a small team.
  4. Professional qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.
  5. Ideally, familiarity with Cisco partner programs (or equivalent for Extreme, Fortinet, Forescout) and Ofcom legislation.
