The Opportunity

Our company has a strong heritage in Infrared Detectors since the 1950s, and we're looking for an experienced engineer to contribute to the development of products and their associated test solutions.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop and grow their skills and knowledge within a thriving organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on a mixture of product development and supporting test hardware, including requirement capture, schematic capture and PCB Layout, circuit simulation, driving the design review process and collaborating with other engineering functions and manufacturing.
  • Design and implement all necessary design verification tests and supporting documentation required to allow new designs to transition into production.
  • Work with specialist technologies relating to Infrared Detectors, including electro-optic test benches, black bodies and lasers.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering (preferable) or related science (e.g. Physics) with preferably some specialisation in electronic techniques.
  • Analogue circuit design experience.
  • Experience of PCB development tools and process.
  • Experience of DFx (designing for cost, test and manufacturability).
  • Experience in System level and sub-system integration and debug.
  • Electro-Optics experience beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Matlab and Simulink would be beneficial.
