HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors. We are currently seeking a skilled Marine Electronic Engineer to join our team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly skilled Marine Electronic Engineer to conduct installations, maintenance, and repairs of vessels' safety, communications, and navigation systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting safety surveys of merchant vessels in line with SOLAS requirements, relevant Classification societies, or MCA.
Key Responsibilities:- Install and commission equipment on customers' vessels and premises.
- Perform maintenance and repairs of equipment on customers' vessels and premises and on company premises.
- Provide technical support to customers and the company's sales and service agents.
- Promote and assist with the up-sales of Company products and services during contact with customers.
- Conduct surveys and inspections of ship radio communications and radio navigational installations, subject to being in possession of the appropriate qualifications, accreditations, and experience.
- Be competent with marine equipment and integrated systems in line with your experience and qualifications.
- Full UK Driving Licence as travel will be required with this position (Average - 2 days a week away from home).
- HNC/HND or equivalent in an electronics discipline.
