Importance of this Role
As a Legal Advisor specializing in Competition & Regulatory Affairs, you will deliver legal guidance with a focus on competition and regulatory law issues in the UK and other regions where BT Group operates. Your responsibilities will include providing solution-oriented legal counsel, collaborating with the Regulatory Affairs team, and interacting with regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to a Senior or Principal Lawyer while acting as a trusted advisor to the Legal Director.
- Offer expert legal counsel on EU & UK Competition & Regulatory law.
- Manage a variety of legal matters including advisory and contentious issues, market assessments, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory discussions, and compliance initiatives.
- Independently advise on matters of low to medium complexity and assist in litigation as required.
- Guide business colleagues on litigation and dispute risks while providing training on legal topics.
- Contribute to the development of best practice documents and ensure effective collaboration within the Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance teams.
Required Skills

Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified lawyer
- 1-4 years of post-qualification experience
- In-house experience is advantageous but not mandatory
