As a key member of the Corporate Property Team, the Senior Construction Project Manager is pivotal in the infrastructure sector. Reporting directly to the Head of Construction, FM & County Farms, this role entails overseeing a dedicated team comprising four Construction Project Managers and one Assistant Project Manager. The individual in this position will provide both strategic direction and operational leadership, significantly contributing to the council's initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions.

The post holder will manage approximately 100 ongoing projects, many of which are part of intricate programmes. This requires adept coordination and management of various appointed design consultants throughout these initiatives. The role demands extensive experience in delivering construction projects and effectively coordinating large, multidisciplinary design teams, as well as managing annual budgets exceeding £10 million. This ensures seamless delivery and collaboration across different departments and external partners to meet the council's strategic goals.
