About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to join our team at United Living Group. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design process and ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the design team, ensuring that all designs are completed to the required standards and meet the needs of our clients.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all deadlines are met and that the projects are delivered within budget.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of design engineers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure that they are able to perform to the best of their ability.
  • Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the service we provide.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest design technologies and techniques, ensuring that our designs are innovative and effective.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all designs are completed to the required standards, and that any issues or defects are identified and addressed promptly.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum 5 years' experience working and delivering design solutions from first principles, MEng/MSc in a relevant engineering discipline, Chartered Engineer with a relevant institution.
  • Experience: Proven experience in leading technical teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Skills: Excellent technical skills, strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
