About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at United Living Group. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical design elements of our projects, working closely with our project team to manage project delivery, and ensuring compliance with our company's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the project team to create efficient methods of working and maintain project profitability
  • Complete mechanical design elements of all Company projects
  • Develop specifications and schedules for equipment required for each project
  • Specify job requirements and parts/equipment/materials needed for project scoping and delivery
  • Formulate realistic parameters for each project, including design elements and implementation procedures
  • Establish methods for administering field tests and monitor quality
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Utilize design drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects
  • Survey mechanical systems and plans
  • Manage and oversee all elements of project delivery under a Project Manager
  • Project budget and programme management
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and work instructions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 3+ years' related field and project experience
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent degree of computer literacy
  • CAD expertise and experience preferable
  • Field/practical experience essential
  • Excellent CDM and health and safety knowledge and application
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training as required
  • Positive 'can do' attitude with flexible approach to work
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Valid UK driving licence (full, clean)
  • CSCS card preferable
  • Confined spaces training (preferable)
