Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Locomotive Technician to join our team at Work Lyf Group. As a key member of our Engineering Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our locomotives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on locomotives to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Lead engineer for contracts, projects, or tasks as necessary to support operational performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to colleagues as part of our Engineering Services On-Call Roster.
  • Update our SAP system to ensure accurate tracking of parts and inventory.
  • Input data into our locomotive history tracking system to maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Adhere to strict Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with Company quality management standards and processes.
  • Work in accordance with relevant legislation and rail industry requirements.

Requirements:

  • BTEC National Certificate L3 in a relevant field.
  • Personal Track Safety certification.
  • Valid driving license.
