About the Role

Aira is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Manager to play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and customers across the United Kingdom. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety initiatives to create a secure and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and regularly review comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct thorough audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and enhance overall safety standards.
  • Perform in-depth risk assessments across all operations and provide actionable recommendations for effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Deliver engaging and informative health and safety training programs to employees, ensuring they possess the necessary knowledge and skills to work safely. Maintain up-to-date training materials to reflect evolving best practices.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents promptly and thoroughly, implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop robust emergency response plans and provide comprehensive training to employees, ensuring they are prepared to handle various emergencies effectively.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the organization by actively engaging with employees, encouraging open communication, and recognizing exemplary safety practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all health and safety inquiries, providing expert guidance and support to employees at all levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance by analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing proactive measures to minimize risks.
  • Stay abreast of changes in legislation and regulatory requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance with all applicable standards.
