About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Associate Dean in Kent, Surrey and Sussex. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting medical education in the region, working closely with the Postgraduate Dean and their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Postgraduate Dean in their mission to deliver high-quality medical education in the region.
  • Provide direct support to directors of medical education and other senior educational leaders in the region.
  • Work with the team to develop and implement innovative solutions to improve medical education and training.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that medical education and training are aligned with NHS England's priorities and goals.
Requirements
  • Primary clinical healthcare qualification.
  • Membership/Fellowship of a College, Faculty, professional association and/or regulatory body.
  • Considerable experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.
  • Knowledge of the NHS, its structures and processes, including an understanding of healthcare/multi-professional workforce matters.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience of clinical and educational leadership and innovation, including managing a multi-professional team.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivery in service and education.
  • Understanding of developments involving the relevant Colleges/Faculties, professional bodies, related NHS organisations and regulatory bodies.
  • Understanding of the workforce transformation agenda.
