We provide excellent care and services to clients and children, ensuring the successful growth of the company. To keep up with this growth, we are seeking a Relief Chef Manager to join our team.

The Role

As the Relief Chef Manager, you will support the catering facility for schools in your region, focusing on operational and financial performance. You will deliver high-quality food and service while showcasing your flair and originality.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing the kitchen team
  • Supporting control of catering operations, including stock, food, and labor costs
  • Ensuring consistency of food and service standards
  • Driving sales through promotions and added-value events
  • Managing and improving controllable costs
  • Overseeing menu development
  • Maintaining company systems and procedures
  • Carrying out regular audits
About You

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to schools. You will need:

  • OND or HND qualification (advantageous)
  • Driving license
  • Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Financial understanding of gross profit management and sales targets
  • Line management experience
  • Experience in a similar environment

We offer flexible hours, working Monday to Friday during school term time. You'll have more time with friends and family and no working at Christmas. This role includes:

  • 40 hours per week, no late nights
  • 39 weeks per year, based around term time
  • £20.70 per hour, plus paid mileage
