About the Role

Cundall's Sustainability team is at the forefront of the built environment's response to the global ecological and climate emergencies. Collaborating with organisations like the World and UK Green Building Council, they create a better, healthier, more sustainable built environment, utilising the UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs).

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and motivated Senior or Principal Engineer to join our team in Bristol, working on some of the most exciting sustainable design projects in the UK and around the world.

Working under the guidance and supervision of more experienced staff, you will develop your existing knowledge and skills in energy modelling and assist with the development of energy and sustainability strategies for new build and existing buildings. Over time, you will be supported and encouraged to work towards Chartership, through one of our accredited training schemes.

You will also be expected to support Cundall's One Planet Living aspirations.

The Skills

Educated to Masters level in Engineering, with relevant practical experience in a similar role, you have demonstrable knowledge and experience of building physics, particularly in relation to heat transfer, energy, comfort criteria, CIBSE Guidance and other industry standards.

An in-depth knowledge of dynamic simulation software and the UK Building Regulations, including a complete understanding of the National Calculation Methodology, is fundamental. A good understanding of mechanical design and an appreciation of coding or a modern programming language are also required.
