About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant Bank to join our team at Elmwood Care Home. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the link between the main kitchen and our residents, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Assist the chefs in preparing meals, plating dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Monitor stock rotation, adhere to company policies and procedures, and follow all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
  • Support catering for special events, such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties, to create memorable experiences for our residents.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a passion for food, previous experience working in a kitchen, and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You should be comfortable communicating with others, cherishing the little moments with our residents, and maintaining high standards in and around the home.
