About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at HC-One. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals to our residents
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict health and safety guidelines
  • Assist with domestic duties in the kitchen, including cleaning and laundry
  • Help to prepare dining areas and ensure a pleasant dining experience for our residents
  • Assist with food storage and inventory management
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a care setting
  • NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to study for one
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
