Job Title: Complex Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our Specialist Services Team to provide care to our client in the Colchester area.

About the Role:

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of care and attention to detail. As a Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing personal care and support to a female teenager who is non-verbal with severe autism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing personal care and support to the client, including moving and handling, oral suctioning, and PEG feeding
  • Managing the client's tracheostomy and ventilator, including oxygen management and medication administration
  • Supporting the client's daily living needs, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Working collaboratively with the client's family and other healthcare professionals to ensure the client's needs are met
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in care work, preferably with individuals with autism or other complex needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts
