Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Community Therapy Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality therapy services to individuals with physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively under the guidance of registered professionals, ensuring a high standard of care.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and care plans, including exercise programs and mobility support.
  • Ensure the safe use and maintenance of therapeutic equipment, following appropriate training.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations of patient responses to treatment and communicate findings effectively to the supervising professional.
  • Engage with patients, caregivers, and colleagues, utilizing strong communication skills to facilitate understanding and consent.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with patients and healthcare professionals to enhance care delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong educational background up to GCSE level.
  • Willingness to undertake further training to meet competency standards.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with adults and older individuals with diverse health conditions.
  • Knowledge of adaptive equipment and its application in patient care.

Skills and Attributes

Essential:

  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality care.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competency in numeracy for accurate measurements.

Physical Requirements

Essential:

  • Able to perform physical tasks, including moving and assisting patients.
  • Capable of traveling within the designated work area.
