Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to join our Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Mental Health Specialist Team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and young people in Cambridgeshire.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Management: Provide strong and effective clinical and managerial leadership to the Mental Health Specialist Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and young people.
  2. Service Development: Develop and implement strategies to improve the service, including the development of new pathways and referral routes.
  3. Communication: Establish and maintain positive relationships with professionals, agencies, charities, and teams who provide services to children and young people in the community.
  4. People Management: Lead the effective management of staff within the service, ensuring mechanisms are in place to provide strong and effective clinical and managerial leadership, advice, support, and supervision.
  5. Research and Development: Lead and participate in regular audits, quarterly reporting, and research projects to improve the team's clinical practice.
  6. Clinical Governance: Participate fully in providing quality care in line with local and national guidelines, observe and maintain strict confidentiality, and adhere to the Trust's risk assessment and risk management processes.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: A relevant clinical qualification, such as a nursing or medical degree.
  2. Experience: Significant experience in a leadership or management role within a mental health service, preferably in a community setting.
  3. Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  4. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mental health services, policies, and procedures, as well as a good understanding of the needs of children and young people.
