About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to individuals with personality disorders, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and formulate treatment plans for individuals with personality disorders, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, using a range of evidence-based interventions, including Mentalisation-Based Treatment (MBT).
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for junior staff, promoting excellence in practice and ensuring high-quality care.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of service policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology or post-graduate qualification in adult psychotherapy.
  • Registered and accredited with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) for psychologists or UKCP for psychotherapists.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in mental health services, with a particular focus on personality disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work flexibly across teams and sites, responding to service demands and priorities.
