Job Title: Night Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Shift Manager to join our team at Evri's Crewe Depot. As a Night Shift Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our night shift warehouse, leading a team of supervisors, loaders, sorters, and drivers to process parcels delivered from client sites to smaller geographic areas for final delivery.

About the Role:

As a Night Shift Manager, you will be responsible for motivating your team, problem-solving on a daily basis, and ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse. You will work closely with the Depot General Manager to achieve agreed service levels, manage resources, and improve cost, service, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all areas of the night warehouse sortation in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure depot key KPIs are achieved, including sortation compliance, vehicle departure times, and productivity.
  • Manage budgets to achieve agreed service levels, including labor costs, overtime usage, and agency usage.
  • Maintain the health, safety, and security of all employees and visitors.
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors on shift.
  • Adhere to legal requirements of the 'O' Licence.
  • Maintain required MI reporting documentation to the required standard and on time.
Requirements:
  • Transport knowledge, skills, or experience, including regulations.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team.
  • Developing staff.
  • Reporting and providing reports on SLAs and KPIs.
  • Ability to work on own initiative in a pressurized environment to tight deadlines.
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good communicator and able to liaise at all levels.
