We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team at Johnsons 1871. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize warehouse operating systems to manage storage requirements and optimize inventory levels.
  • Implement, enforce, and evaluate warehouse policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the processes for receiving and delivering items, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Efficiently manage and organize inventory, including conducting regular stocktakes and monitoring vehicle and equipment service sheet returns.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and visitors.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and address corrective actions from defect sheets.
  • Identify and resolve potential hazards, and conduct packing comparison checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage site waste and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a warehouse operative, with a strong background in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  • Forklift Truck licenses are essential (Counterbalance & VNA (Articulated) truck).
  • Proven ability to implement process improvements and optimize warehouse operations.
  • Strong organizational skills, leadership skills, and ability to manage staff.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Qualification in logistics, supply chain management is desirable.
  • Containerized Storage Experience Preferred.

Additional Notes:

Due to the volatile nature of jobs coming in on short notice, flexibility to the nature of the industry is key. This role may require some weekend working.
