Job Summary

Harvard University seeks a highly skilled and experienced Chief Communications and Marketing Officer to lead the development and implementation of strategic communications and marketing initiatives that promote the university's mission, values, and brand. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in creating and executing effective communications and marketing campaigns that engage diverse audiences and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy that aligns with the university's goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of communications and marketing professionals to create and execute campaigns that promote the university's brand, programs, and services.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement communications and marketing plans that support the university's strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain the university's brand identity, including its visual and verbal elements.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies that engage diverse audiences and drive business results.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communications and marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions to optimize results.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in communications and marketing, with a proven track record of success in creating and executing effective campaigns.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of communications and marketing professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a higher education or non-profit environment.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and their applications in communications and marketing.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of brand management and identity.
