Position Overview: Our esteemed client, Triple West Medical, is in search of a dedicated Locum Consultant specializing in Oncological Medicine. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to patient care in a highly regarded medical environment.

Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive oncological care, which includes:

  • Conducting Rapid Access Clinics
  • Managing Ambulatory Oncology Services
  • Performing Colposcopy and Diagnostic Procedures
  • Overseeing Inpatient and Day Surgical Theatre operations

The oncology department is well-equipped and operates across multiple facilities, ensuring a full spectrum of services. The department features:

  • Dedicated oncology beds
  • A specialized oncology theatre
  • A day surgery unit

Special Interests: In addition to general oncological services, the department supports various special interests, including:

  • Oncological Surgery
  • Colposcopy
  • Urodynamics
  • Urogynaecology
  • Infertility Treatments
  • Assisted Reproductive Technologies
  • Menopause Management

Qualifications Required:

  • Medical qualification recognized for registration
  • Accreditation as a subspecialist in Oncological Medicine or equivalent
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council or eligibility for registration
  • For UK-trained applicants, possession of CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) or nearing completion
  • Extensive experience in all facets of Oncological Medicine leading to CCT or equivalent
  • Training in ambulatory oncological practices

Additional Skills: Proficiency in benign abdominal surgery, including open and laparoscopic techniques, is essential.
