Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist SLT, you will be responsible for assessing and treating adult patients with dysphagia and communication disorders in an acute in-patient setting.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat adult patients with dysphagia and communication disorders in an acute in-patient setting.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Conduct instrumental assessments and treatments for dysphagia, including FEES and other instrumental devices.
  • Provide training and education to other healthcare professionals on communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Contribute to the development of the SLT team, including student supervision and in-house CPD.
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist who possesses the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Postgraduate qualification in adult dysphagia.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • High standard of spoken and written English language.
  • Experience of working in an NHS adult setting.
