We are seeking an experienced and innovative nurse to join our team as a Pelvic Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-centred service, providing high-quality care to individuals managing pelvic floor symptoms.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with pelvic health issues, including detailed history taking and physical examinations using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Develop Individualised Care Plans: Create tailored care plans based on assessment findings and patient needs, implementing and coordinating treatment plans that may include medication management, physical therapy, lifestyle modifications, and education.
- Specialised Procedures: Assist in or perform procedures such as catheterisations, pessary fittings, and pelvic floor muscle training, and advise on conservative and lifestyle management for bowel dysfunction.
- Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and their families about pelvic health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies, while offering emotional support and counselling.
- Referral and Collaboration: Identify the need for and facilitate referrals to other specialists or services, such as urology, gynaecology, or colorectal surgery, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Professional Development: Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain expertise in pelvic health and stay up-to-date with best practices.
