Senior School Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Headteacher to lead our new school, Trimdon Hill School, in Durham. As a key member of the Outcomes First Group team, you will be responsible for establishing and growing a thriving educational institution that caters to the needs of pupils with Autism.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide effective leadership and management of the school, ensuring it meets its aims and objectives and operates within the overall strategy and guidelines of Options Autism.
- Pupil Outcomes: Deliver outstanding outcomes for pupils and young people, reflecting their needs, abilities, and aptitudes.
- Safety and Wellbeing: Create a safe environment that protects the welfare of pupils, young people, and staff in the school.
- Statutory Compliance: Meet all statutory requirements as defined by the DfE, Ofsted, and other external bodies, achieving the highest inspection ratings possible.
- Staff Engagement: Motivate and engage a motivated staff group, committed to continuing personal and professional development.
- Commercial Success: Drive the commercial success of the school, defined by 100% occupancy, rigorous cost management, and the development and implementation of growth plans.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement effective strategic and operational planning, including self-evaluation, school improvement, and delivery.
- Shared Vision: Inspire and motivate students, staff, and the school community with a shared vision that fits within the overall Options Autism strategy.
- Leadership Experience: At least three years' experience as a senior leader in either mainstream or special educational needs schools.
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status or Equivalent.
- Personal and Professional Development: Willingness to extend personal and professional development.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and provide a clear vision.
- Leadership Understanding: Appreciation and understanding that leadership and management of a school encompasses processes contributing to pupil outcomes, staff motivation, keeping pupils safe, filling the school with pupils, managing costs, meeting regulatory requirements, and applying growth plans.
