About the Role:

At AtkinsRéalis, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of our global portfolio of projects in the offshore wind turbine generator assets sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Analysis: Design and analyze both fixed and floating structures, including offshore wind turbine generators and substations, considering site-specific hydrodynamic loads and environmental conditions.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver structural engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry design standards (API, DNV, NORSOK, etc.) and certification requirements.
  • Technical Expertise: Assess, review, and interpret technical inputs required for offshore structural design, and prepare technical reports.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all design work under their purview is performed, reviewed, checked, and approved in accordance with engineering procedures or as specified in a Project Quality Plan.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Years of relevant experience in the offshore industry, with a focus on either primary or secondary steel design, preferably for offshore wind turbine generator foundations.
  • Education: Master's degree in Offshore Structures, Ocean Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a relevant discipline, with an excellent understanding of Structural Mechanics and Hydrodynamics.
  • Professional Qualifications: Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in the use of SESAM or SACS software is considered ideal, although practical experience with comparable software can also be considered.
  • Personal Qualities: A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse working environments.
