About the Role

DP World is at the forefront of global trade, providing innovative logistics solutions and infrastructure to support the world's trading needs. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to lead our environmental team at our London Gateway facility in Essex.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental strategies and monitoring programs, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and laws. This will involve managing the environmental team, developing and implementing environmental monitoring programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental management. They will also have strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement environmental strategies and monitoring programs
  • Manage the environmental team and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Develop and implement environmental monitoring programs
  • Manage liaison with regulators, statutory and non-statutory consultees, landowners, marine users, contractors and consultants
  • Manage the remediation and materials management strategy
  • Manage the Environmental Assurance Team of technical consultants and the functions of the Environmental Advisory Group

Requirements

  • Degree in environmental science or a related field
  • Full membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental management
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of environmental laws and regulations
