The post holder will work as part of a team of ward-based nursing staff, providing direct and non-direct care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role involves working within a core competency framework, delivering basic nursing duties to patients, and participating in the delivery of a high standard of nursing care.
Main Responsibilities
Assist in the delivery of nursing care, ensuring the adequate nutrition and hydration of individual patients. Participate in food monitoring and complete documentation accurately. Maintain a clean and tidy ward area, adhering to Health Board Policies. Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and ward staff, ensuring a polite, respectful, and courteous manner. Use effective communication skills within the ward/department and with all members of the team.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
Essential:
- Good level of general education
- Demonstrate knowledge of the requirements of the role
- Possess or working towards NVQ Level II Award
- GCSEs or similar qualifications
- Previous hospital experience
