Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Town Planner to join our team at RGB Recruitment. As a Senior Town Planner, you will be responsible for leading the planning department and managing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Creative Planning Solutions: Utilize your expertise to develop innovative and effective planning solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Prepare Policy Presentations and Project Proposals: Create high-quality policy presentations and project proposals that showcase your skills and expertise.
  • Manage Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Grow Workload and Win Business: Identify opportunities to grow the workload and win new business in the area.
  • Consult with Stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders and other interested parties to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Negotiate with Developers: Negotiate with developers and other professionals, such as surveyors and architects, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Assess Planning Applications: Assess planning applications and monitor outcomes to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Research and Analyze Data: Conduct research and analyze data to inform strategic developments and improve planning outcomes.
  • Design Layouts and Draft Design Statements: Create high-quality design layouts and draft design statements that meet client needs.
  • Present at Planning Boards: Present at planning boards, appeals, and public inquiries to effectively communicate planning solutions.
  • Requirements:
    • Relevant Planning Degree: Possess a relevant planning degree within MRTPI / RTPI / RICS.
    • CAD Software Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in CAD software.
    • Project Delivery: Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
    • Legislation Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with legislation associated with land use.
    • Full UK Driving License: Possess a full UK driving license and be willing to travel.
    • Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
