Senior Town Planner

Pertemps TM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Town Planner to join our esteemed client, a leading design-led consultancy with a strong reputation for excellence.

This dynamic firm, recently merged with a global multidisciplinary construction company, offers a comprehensive range of services encompassing architecture, construction management, and planning. They are committed to providing exceptional support to their staff and fostering a collaborative work environment.

As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing nationwide planning operations. You will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to a diverse range of projects, including leisure parks, while working alongside a talented team of professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative and effective planning solutions
  • Prepare compelling policy presentations, project proposals, and tender responses
  • Cultivate and manage strong client relationships
  • Expand workload and secure new business opportunities
  • Engage with stakeholders and other interested parties
  • Negotiate effectively with developers and professionals such as surveyors and architects
  • Assess planning applications and monitor outcomes
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform strategic developments
  • Design layouts and draft comprehensive design statements
  • Represent the company at planning boards, appeals, and public inquiries
Qualifications:
  • Relevant Planning degree with MRTPI / RTPI / RICS membership
  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Proven experience in project delivery
  • Up-to-date knowledge of legislation related to land use
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
