About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term partnerships with veterinary practices, ensuring a high level of expertise with our evolving portfolio of products and services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a high level of expertise with the evolving portfolio of products, services, pricing, competition, market and industry trends
  • Developing and maintaining account plans in collaboration with veterinarians, product specialists and account managers
  • Ensuring customer information and call reports are continuously updated through our CRM system
  • Aligning activities and account plans to marketing programmes and management direction in line with the Solution Selling model
  • Analysing and interpreting actual and potential territory/customer sales and growth opportunities to support the delivery of sales targets
  • Developing mutually beneficial and productive long-term partnerships with our customers based on high-quality account plans
  • Implementing bespoke customer solutions utilising all available resources, including products, value services, veterinarians and product specialists
  • Delivering call activity in accordance with agreed KPIs to achieve the required coverage and frequency with identified target customers
  • Delivering relevant marketing messages, product information and programmes consistent with management direction in line with Solution Selling model
  • Coordinating with colleagues in order to achieve positive changes to the customer's understanding and use of our portfolio of products, services and pricing
  • Adhering to Pharmacovigilance Policy, Global vet Policy, Zoetis values, travel & expenses policy and local codes of practice
  • Attaining AMTRA qualification within three years of employment with Zoetis
  • Maintaining accurate business records, including CRM, and communicating effectively with the Area Business Manager and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Able to retain and recall product information to a detailed level
  • A strong focus on planning and a balance of tactical planning with day-to-day operational requirements
  • Drive and resilience demonstrated with a persistent, never-give-up attitude
  • Confidence, likability & authoritative personality
  • Stakeholder management - effective at using stakeholders as resources
  • Experience as a field sales representative in animal health, human pharmaceutical or dental sales or in another sales role
  • IT literate - Able to use standard business software and communication tools
