The Director of Sales and Business Development will be responsible for leading the sales team, developing and implementing sales strategies, and managing a portfolio of clients and venues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales team to achieve personal and company targets
  • Lead weekly sales meetings to discuss sales performance and strategies
  • Contribute to the development of the company's business development strategy
  • Nurture and develop existing relationships with clients and venues
  • Prepare and submit formal business tenders and proposals to secure new business
  • Ensure effective communication with all departments throughout the planning process
  • Collaborate with other areas of the business to drive sales growth
  • Monitor and maintain the company's gross profit margin

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of sales success in a top London catering or events company
  • Previous experience in managing a sales team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Strong presentation, pitching, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent industry knowledge and understanding of the premium events market
  • Proactive, flexible, and a team player with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
