About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Transformation Manager to join our team at Unite Students. As a key member of our Programme Office, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our multi-year business-led, tech-enabled transformation programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and lead change workstreams across multiple complex projects, ensuring effective planning, implementation, and adoption of changes.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans to support business objectives and change initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain change management methodologies, tools, and ways of working to consistently deliver change initiatives across the organisation.
  • Work with project managers to integrate change plans into project plans, ensuring consideration of people, processes, and systems impact.
  • Develop comprehensive communication plans to convey the reasons for change, expected benefits, and impact on individuals and teams.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders affected by change, conducting change impact assessments and developing training programmes to address skill gaps.
  • Define and manage stakeholder mapping and engagement to ensure senior leadership support for change deployment and adoption.
  • Establish metrics to monitor change initiative progress and success.
  • Develop a change network of interested and engaged participants to embed effective change principles.
  • Ensure handover of programme/project deliverables into business as usual and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience in technology-led/enabled change, ideally in complex organisations.
  • Deep experience of designing, planning, and delivering end-to-end change workstreams.
  • Change management certification (e.g. Prosci, APMG) is desirable.
  • Ability to understand and empathise with individuals and teams affected by change.
  • Understanding of project management principles to integrate change management into project plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, listening skills, and ability to influence others.
  • Curious and willing to challenge the status quo, able to manage and navigate ambiguity.
