Position Overview

This role is essential for the effective operation of the M25 DBFO Network, focusing on incident management, hazard removal, and maintenance tasks under the supervision of the Line Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the initial response and coordinate specialized assistance during road incidents, hazards, and collisions in a Bronze incident command capacity.
  • Address incidents in line with established policies and procedures to ensure swift resolution of hazards and incidents.
  • Execute assigned duties to uphold the integrity of your designated area, including debris inspections, roadway repairs, and signage upkeep.
  • Implement Emergency Traffic Management in accordance with company protocols.
  • Utilize mobile devices for accurate data entry and reporting.
  • Perform routine checks on vehicles and maintain comprehensive driving records.
  • Notify supervisors of any issues impacting network safety.
  • Ensure Traffic Management equipment is functional and adequately stocked on vehicles.
  • Engage in Winter Service rotations as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid UK Driving Licence (minimum category C - LGV Class 2)
  • CSCS Operative Card
  • Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Highways Maintenance
  • ROLO Sector Scheme 18 certification
  • NHSS12A/B accreditation
  • Winter Service Operations certification
  • Impact Protection Vehicle Courses (12AB IPV)

Additional Requirements

  • Successful completion of security, driving license, drug & alcohol tests, and health screenings
  • Adherence to Health & Safety regulations

Work Schedule

  • Shifts will include weekends and holidays
  • Rotating schedule with 4 shifts on, followed by 4 shifts off
  • Travel across the M25 network and between depots is necessary
  • Participation in out-of-hours Winter Maintenance operations
