Our Contract Services division comprises over 140 professionals located in our offices or embedded within client teams throughout the UK. We provide services to a diverse array of public and private sector clients, with a particular emphasis on central and local government, defense, transportation, and utilities.

Position Overview

In response to a surge in workload and the acquisition of new clients across both public and private sectors, we are excited to announce openings for Senior Procurement Consultants to join our expanding Contract Services team in the UK.

The Contract Services team includes specialists in procurement strategy, claims management, and dispute resolution.

We are proud to be the first consultancy recognized by the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) for excellence in procurement processes within the construction sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert procurement strategy guidance to public and private sector clients.
  • Manage and collaborate with a team on comprehensive procurement services for major projects or programs.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of procurement services offered by Turner & Townsend.
  • Support business development and marketing efforts for the Contract Services team's offerings.
  • Assist in achieving both team and broader business objectives.
  • Aid in bid preparation and proposal documentation to bolster the Contract Services team's work-winning capabilities.

Qualifications:

To effectively serve our clients, we seek candidates with a combination of the following:

  • Experience leading and/or supporting projects in a strategic procurement context.
  • A robust background in tender preparation and the development of relevant documentation across various sectors.
  • Experience in supplier engagement activities, from market engagement to contract award.
  • Familiarity with Public/Utilities Contract Regulations or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in utilizing standard form contracts, including NEC and JCT, along with skills in developing terms, negotiation, and award.
  • Achievement of, or willingness to pursue, MCIPs accreditation.
  • Preferably possess a degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law, or procurement.
  • Ideally have experience in Defense, Utilities, or Infrastructure sectors.
  • Valid Security Clearance (SC) or the ability to reinstate it.

Skills:

  • Capability to develop procurement strategies within project or program contexts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Understanding of commercial principles and modeling.
  • Experience in delivering strategies and/or developing documentation in capital project or program environments.
