About the Role

Bruker is a leading provider of high-performance scientific instruments and analytical solutions. We are seeking an experienced Applications Scientist to support our X-ray activities, primarily in HRXRD, XRD, XRR, and XRDI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, developing and disseminating best practices, and collaborating with internal teams to drive innovation and customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist technical support to customers, including demonstrations of product capabilities, sales presentations, customer training, and support.
  • Assist customers in assessing potential applications of our products to meet process metrology needs.
  • Work with customers from pre-sales to post-sales, ensuring that our products meet their requirements and providing specialist user support.
  • Ensure that our products are functioning according to specifications, including source inspection and post-installation verification.
  • Develop and disseminate best practices and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Support the core technology, engineering, and production teams in qualifying new technologies, algorithms, methodologies, software, and hardware features.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to prepare detailed product specifications for customer applications and solutions.
  • Provide follow-up support to sales staff and customer service personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or engineering.
  • Fluent in English with experience in technical communication (writing, presenting, discussing, listening).
  • Good knowledge of basic crystallography and crystal structure; knowledge of thermodynamics, kinetics, diffusion, etc.
  • Experience in metrology and characterization techniques, preferably hands-on work and results analysis.
  • Experience in X-ray materials characterization techniques is an advantage.
  • Experience in problem analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry and in a fab is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of statistics and data analysis.
