Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Scientist to support our X-ray activities, primarily in HRXRD, XRD, XRR, and XRDI. As a key member of our Applications team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to our customers, particularly through demonstrations of product capabilities and sales presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise to customers through product demonstrations, sales presentations, and customer training and support.
  • Enable customers to assess potential applications of our products to meet process metrology needs.
  • Work closely with customers from before the sale to expert user support for applications.
  • Develop and disseminate Best Known Methods.
  • Lead applications support to core technology, engineering, and production teams in qualification of new technologies, algorithms, methodologies, software, and hardware features.
  • Support Product Managers in preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions.
  • Provide expert follow-up support to company sales staff and customer service personnel.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly qualified individual with a degree in physics, chemistry, material science, or engineering. A PhD or higher degree with a minimum of five years of post-doctoral experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a good knowledge of basic crystallography/crystal structure, and experience with metrology and characterization techniques.
