Job Title: Senior Applications Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Scientist to join our team at Bruker's Semiconductor Division. As a key member of our Applications team, you will play a critical role in supporting our X-ray activities, primarily in HRXRD, XRD, XRR, and XRDI.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical support to customers, particularly through demonstrations of product capabilities and sales presentations.
  • Enable customers to assess potential applications of our products to meet process metrology needs.
  • Work closely with customers from before the sale to expert user support for applications.
  • Set suitable product specifications and ensure that the product application/solution meets them.
  • Develop and disseminate Best Known Methods.
  • Lead applications support to the core technology, engineering, and production teams.
  • Support Product Managers in preparing detailed product specifications.
  • Provide expert follow-up support to company sales staff and customer service personnel.
Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly qualified individual with a degree in physics, chemistry, material science, or engineering. A PhD or higher degree with a minimum of five years of post-doctoral experience is preferred. Fluency in English and several years of experience in technical communication are essential. Good knowledge of basic crystallography/crystal structure is also required.

Significant experience of metrology and characterization techniques, as well as problem analysis and troubleshooting techniques, is highly desirable. Experience in X-ray materials characterization techniques and working in the semiconductor industry is also an advantage.
