About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estates Assurance Advisor to join our National Estates and Facilities Team at NHS England. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert support in respect of assurance of estates business cases, capital and subsidiary transactions, and other estate-related activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert assurance and support to the National Estates Capital and Transactions team in respect of estates business cases, capital and subsidiary transactions, and other estate-related activities.
  • Assure cases with a capital value over £3 billion in 2023/24, working closely with the National Estates Capital and Transactions Lead and other key stakeholders.
  • Act as estates keyholder for business cases covering all aspects of estates and associated elements of business cases.
  • Support the development of national guidance in respect of business case assurance, including leading on the review of estates elements of the business case checklist or other standard documentation.
Requirements
  • Qualified estates professional or experience of working in a senior project appraisal or transaction role.
  • Educated to Masters level or equivalent level or equivalent experience of working at a senior level in a specialist area.
  • In-depth, extensive, and expert knowledge acquired over a significant period of time of specialist NHS estates areas, acquired through postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent.
  • Subject matter expertise across a number of key areas relating to estates costing and appraisal.
  • Detailed knowledge of NHS Finance.
