About the Role

Are you an experienced support assistant eager to engage with students facing behavioral and emotional challenges? We are collaborating with numerous educational institutions that require dedicated and enthusiastic support staff who possess a solid understanding of child mental health or are open to learning how to assist children with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students, either in one-on-one settings or within classroom environments.
  • Work with pupils of varying ages who have specific behavioral, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, including those on the autism spectrum.
  • Engage with students during classroom activities, specialized mentoring sessions, and during break times.
  • Receive training in effective intervention strategies to manage challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate closely with the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and senior leadership, as well as external professionals such as therapists and healthcare providers.

  • Exhibit a flexible approach to work.
  • Be available for temporary assignments on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
