Job Title: Gardener

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gardener to join our team at a beautiful country estate in Surrey. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the gardens and grounds, as well as providing general maintenance and support to the family.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the gardens and grounds, including the use of ride-on lawnmowers and other equipment
  • Provide general maintenance and support to the family, including interior and exterior maintenance
  • Assist with chauffeuring duties, including airport runs and local errands
  • Care for the family pets and provide pet sitting services when the family is away
  • Ensure the security of the property and assist with any heavier work or tasks as required
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Gardener or in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of gardening and maintenance practices
  • Highly skilled with machines and proficient in DIY tasks
  • Confident driver with a clean driving license
  • Nonsmoker
  • Must be dog-friendly and willing to care for pets
  • 5 years of contactable references and a clear DBS check
Accommodation:
  • A lovely 1-bedroom cottage (furnished/unfurnished) is provided as staff accommodation
  • The cottage includes a private garden, large garage, and parking
  • Partners and pets considered
  • Utilities covered
Salary and Benefits:

Salary negotiable around £30k/£35k gross per annum

Five days per week, including weekends (days off: Tuesday & Wednesday), 47.5 hours per week (lunch break: 30 minutes per day)
