Job Title: Gardener

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gardener to join our team at a beautiful country estate in Surrey. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the estate's gardens, courtyards, and surrounding areas.

Duties:

  • Maintain the estate's gardens, including the use of ride-on lawn mowers and other equipment
  • Care for the estate's courtyards and surrounding areas
  • Perform interior and exterior maintenance tasks
  • Provide chauffeur duties and airport runs as required
  • Care for the family vehicles, including cleaning and servicing schedules
  • Provide pet-sitting services when the family is away
  • Ensure the security of the property
  • Assist with parties and other events as needed
  • Run local errands as required

Requirements:

  • Must have previous experience as a Gardener in a similar role
  • Highly skilled with machines and proficient in DIY tasks, including ride-on lawn mowers and large garden maintenance
  • Must be helpful, organized, and possess a strong work ethic with excellent communication skills
  • Confident driver with a clean driving license
  • Nonsmoker
  • Must be dog-friendly and willing to care for pets
  • The family requires 5 years of contactable references and a clear DBS check

Accommodation:

  • You will be provided with a lovely 1-bedroom cottage (furnished/unfurnished) which is separate from the main house
  • The accommodation includes a private garden, large garage, and parking
  • Partners and pets considered
  • Utilities covered

Salary: Negotiable around £30,000-£35,000 per annum

Working Days & Hours: Five days including weekends (days off: Tuesday & Wednesday), 47.5 hours per week (lunch break: 30 minutes per day)
