Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute a strategic plan for the cloud-based data platform, aligning with our overall data strategy and business objectives.
- Ensure the platform's architecture supports scalability, data security, and compliance with data governance and privacy standards.
- Oversee the deployment, management, and optimization of cloud services to meet the needs of decentralised data teams, business platform teams, and AI initiatives.
- Implement FinOps practices to monitor and optimize cloud spending, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness.
- Embed and maintain group-aligned IT service management (ITSM) practices to ensure high-quality service delivery and platform availability.
- Extensive experience in managing cloud-based data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, in a large-scale, complex environment.
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and tools, with experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of FinOps principles and practices, with a demonstrated ability to manage cloud costs and budgeting effectively.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, particularly Bicep and other relevant technologies, to automate and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and experience in managing IT services in a cloud environment.
- A collaborative and agile culture with a 4-day office week and one day remote.
