Director of Data Platform

Lyst is a global leader in the fashion tech industry, offering a premium shopping app and catering to over 200 million shoppers annually. Our mission is to provide a seamless search and discovery experience, inspiring and empowering fashion shoppers to make informed decisions. As a Director of Data Platform, you will lead our best-in-class analytics engineering and data platform engineering team, driving business strategy and delivering technical direction on the data and analytics platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of data platform and analytics engineers, aligning objectives with company goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance on analytics and data platform engineering, identifying opportunities to improve Lyst data and drive business success.
  • Drive and advocate best practices within data platform and across the wider business, ensuring high data quality and robust data governance.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a senior or head of data platform role, preferably within e-commerce or technology sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills and line management skills, with a proactive mindset and commitment to execution.
  • Experience working with the modern data stack, ideally AWS, Snowflake, and Looker, with a strong understanding of data modelling and data architecture.
