About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Test Development Engineer to join QinetiQ Target Systems (QTS) within our Production Engineering Team.

QTS UK is one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of Aerial Target Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Defining the way products should be tested and implementing that test strategy.
  • Liaising & guiding R&D to ensure new products are designed in a way that is optimum for testing.
  • Designing ATE test fixtures and supervising their assembly.
  • Developing ATE test programs and commissioning them, along with the fixtures.
  • Developing standalone test methods & designing and implementing the necessary hardware and software solutions for these methods.
  • Providing training and support to the factory test supervisors.
  • Manage change to product testing in a live environment.

You will be degree qualified in a relevant field or have equivalent experience and qualifications and have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a test development environment.

Radio frequency test and measurement experience.

Ability to read and interpret electronics schematic drawings.

Ability to read and interpret electronic component data sheets.

Excellent IT skills with experience of standard Microsoft Office apps with Office 365 suite an advantage.
