GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join one of its client schools in Tower Hamlets. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with SEN.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff and parents.
- Employ a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes students' confidence and self-esteem.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure effective support for all students.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on progress and strategies to support learning at home.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in SEN.
- Proven experience working as an SEN Teacher in a primary or secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patient, empathetic, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.

- An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through us.
- Two professional child-related references.
